Development Activities in Phase II-B
Based on information provided by the developer, preparations are being made for earthmoving activities that are to take place as part of the ongoing development in Phase II-B. Part of these preparations involve setting up a sediment sump system, meant to control offsite sediment discharge, which is required before any major earth working activities. The last stage in this system is the existing stormwater pond located behind the homes on 106th Avenue East and 58th Street East (addresses 5610, 5614, 5706, 5710, 5718 and 5724 on 106th Ave East, and 10605, 10611, 10619 and 10623 on 58th Street East). The utilization of this pond as part of the process will result in temporarily lower water levels in the pond, which will return back to normal levels shortly after completion of the drawdown measures. Use of this pond will be terminated as soon as the first of three other proposed ponds is excavated, which is expected to take approximately one to two weeks from the start of activities. Overall this measure should be short in duration and minimally noticeable to the residents in this area. Questions or concerns relating to these activities should be directed to the developer.
